Lanka (Pvt) Limited is a joint venture between the
largest & oldest exporter of coir fibre in Sri Lanka,
Hayleys
Group & partners from Japan & Holland.
The company's production facility at Ekala was set up
in 1989 with technical collaboration from foreign partners,
pioneers in Ruberised coir manufacturing.
At present the company is capable of producing a wide
range of Rubberised coir & Needled Coir Fibre products.
To meet the increased demand for its products worldwide,
the second factory was set up at Katana in year 2000.
Rubberised Coir Fibre is a unique blend of Coconut
fibre & natural rubber. Together they form a resilient,aerated
material suitable for applications of Bedding, Furniture,
Horticulture, Packaging, Filtration, Erosion Control,
Upholstery & many other applications.
Needled Coir Fibre are manufactured from
clean mattress fibre using modern machinery. They can
be produced as 100% natural material without adhesives
or with natural latex sprayed on the surface to give an
extra strength to the product. Needled Coir products
are mainly used in the areas of Bedding, Horticulture
& Erosion Control & other special applications.
Our products are currently exported to United States,
Japan, E.E.C, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong and the
Middle East. The company is also geared to develop
products to individual customer specifications & requirements.
